Invasion of my flat by Two Mad Space Monkeys and the need to do coursework meant that an update last Saturday was not possible, nor is a full update possible today. All apologies. Next update is on Saturday as usual, then a final update the following week to end part one. I need a break after that to script and draft the next part, so you'll probably get a lot of nonsense comics until I break out my lovely Muji ink pens again.

In other news, I really want to watch Rahxephon, which certain AnimeSoc members have been ranting about. I'm also still wondering what to make of Skyhigh, a manga-scan project made available in English from the nice people at Omanga.net; the story is creepily told, and the art reminds me of BLAME, but better. I never understood the appeal of BLAME. Didn't play enough Unreal, or some similar game, I guess.

To my great joy, the new spring term brings with it not only a chance to learn fascinating things about electrical engineering (this is not entirely sarcastic, today's classes promise much for the days ahead), but also new series for AnimeSoc to screen. I was very disappointed by Naruto. Very. It was going fine from when Kakashi-sensei appeared, then it suddenly turned into Dragonball Z with ninjas, albeit one really cool ninja. And I really, really, really, really want to stick something sharp into Sakura and Sasuke. So, fine, I cannot stand either shoujo or shonen stuff; this is good because I might actually use my time to do something useful, but it is bad because, well, wo yao anime, goddammit.

But! Before that, I need to do some work; work work, as opposed to, I don't know, comic work? We had a long discussion on what the expression 'bread bread' means, and other words used in that context, but it never came to any good...

over, and considerably (knocked) out,
