Little One
is a boy who is searching for his friend, Roi. He has with him a handful of weapons, a stubborn head, and a heart full of love and hope that is ready to follow his king, no matter where.

Woman The Colour Of Autumn
is something that has lost her name, and therefore all her memories, to the forest. Her stars are taking Roi's life away, but her own opinion about Roi does not really agree with that.

The Cat / Boy In Black
is sometimes a cat, sometimes a boy. Like a cat, he is aloof and wary, but like a human boy, he is also in need of something to believe in and to follow.

Feng
is a cheerful creature who likes tea and is rather lazy. He is waiting, in a station on the edge of the forest, for a train to bring to him the one he has been waiting for so long.

Roi
would be king of a place called the Fortress, if he had stayed. But he dreamt of stars, which he has left to find. And he is such a person that those who meet him are compelled to follow in his wake.

The Captain
is a quiet man who has been ruling the Fortress for a long time. He wishes only for Roi to be happy, and also for Roi to take over the Fortress as king, but it seems that both these things can never happen together.

Tee
is a construct, created to decide who should continue on their hearts' journeys. She is quite childish, very powerful, and although she always smiles, in truth she wishes for a heart, too.
